Weekly Round Up – Plan-Do-Check-Act

Weekly Round Up

A challenging and thought provoking week at times.  Much achieved and lessons learned that we can embed within our practices as we continue to provide support to our clients.

Plan-Do-Check-Act, is at the core of what we do here at LCS.  We strive to learn from our interactions with others in an attempt to continually develop as a business and encourage our team to develop their skills and knowledge.  The following is an example of how the philosophy works from our week’s activities.

Plan

Our week included strategic planning and business development initiatives:

  • We met with associates to discuss potential business development opportunities
  • We continued the development of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with support from our business support partner

Do

We executed various projects and responsibilities:

  • Guided supervisors through their Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) training for one of our partners
  • Performed employers’ agent duties for the redevelopment of Bury Cross Garage
  • Conducted site compliance visits to ensure adherence to safety standards

Check

Our team focused on monitoring and improving safety practices:

  • Engaged with trades to raise awareness of current health and safety issues
  • Empowered workers to make better decisions regarding safety on-site

Act

We took steps to improve our practices and our clients’ processes and to be inspired for further client engagement and development of our own skills and processes:

  • Continued developing our systems and assisting clients with the development of their management systems

On Monday, Lee attended the premiere of “Endurance,” a movie about the search for Shackleton’s ship within the depths of the Antarctic Ocean.  A powerful quote from Ernest Shackleton resonated with our leadership philosophy:

“We succeed as a team, but if we fail, the failure is mine.”

This statement emphasises the importance of teamwork and leadership accountability, which aligns perfectly with our approach at LCS Project Solutions.  We are looking forward to the weeks ahead to build on this philosophy and to continue to support our client and team.
