We recently contributed to a project on the Isle of Wight, collaborating with the Principal Contractor to formulate the environmental planning for a harbourside project. The project carries the potential for significant environmental impacts on the biodiversity of the harbour and its surroundings if not appropriately planned and managed. To address this, we developed the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP), meeting planning requirements and proactively considering how construction works can enhance the harbours biodiversity. Our approach involves limiting habitat removal and water run-off while actively promoting the creation of new habitats. This is facilitated through the continuous review and enhancement of the aspects and impact register by the Principal Contractor appointed contractors.
