This week has been another varied and rewarding one for the team at LCS Project Solutions, balancing project delivery, health & safety oversight, and the ongoing development of systems that keep our clients’ projects running smoothly. Travel has taken us by train, car, and of course on our trusted electric Brompton, the E-bee, as we’ve supported sites ranging from joinery workshops to sensitive heritage projects. The result has been a productive and insightful week, full of progress and learning.
Leon also partook in a clients running challenge! Well done.
Monday – Groundwork and Reality Checks
The week began with a focus on New Forest Fencing alongside supporting PQQ submissions and a productive internal catch-up. Site tours to domestic projects offered valuable “reality checks”, allowing us to compare design intent with on-the-ground progress. This exercise highlighted where project adjustments are needed and where performance is exceeding expectations.
Tuesday – Representing and Reviewing
Tuesday featured a site progress meeting where we acted as Health & Safety Consultants on behalf of a client. This was followed by a compliance tour and further project planning. Later in the day we spent time at a heritage project, reviewing compliance before heading to the joinery workshop servicing the scheme, reinforcing the close connection between off-site preparation and on-site delivery.
Wednesday – Coordination and Guidance
Midweek was dedicated to CDM coordination across multiple projects. We ensured responsibilities were clearly defined and communicated, while also preparing planning arrangements for an upcoming heritage scheme. This included supporting duty holders with telephone guidance, a reminder that effective compliance is as much about clarity and communication as it is about procedure.
Thursday – Toolbox Talks and Management Systems
Thursday brought together both site-based and administrative responsibilities. We supported the delivery of toolbox talks, engaging directly with teams to keep health & safety front of mind. Alongside this, we continued strengthening our management systems with further project planning, system development, and audits, ensuring frameworks remain robust to support safe and successful project outcomes.
Friday – Systems, Services, and Ongoing Support
We ended the week with a client session on developing a new management system and the renewal of retained services. At the same time, our team provided essential post-completion project management at Bury Cross Garage, while also contributing to policy development and longer-term strategic planning. T hese activities underline our dual focus on immediate project needs and sustainable client support.
Looking Ahead
Week 34 has reinforced the breadth of our work, from frontline site engagement and compliance tours to the behind-the-scenes planning and system development that keep projects running smoothly. Whether travelling between heritage sites, joinery yards, or policy discussions (often with E-bee providing the final leg of the journey), our commitment remains the same: supporting clients in delivering projects that are compliant, well-managed, and built for success.
