Weekly Summary

Leon and I are writing this post from our Airbnb just south of Bath after attending the Diversity Impact Programme Showcase at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Bath.

Monday:

• Site compliance reports and inspections.
• Review of contractor proposals.
• Development of client ISO standards.

Tuesday:

• Site compliance inspections in Bournemouth.
• BREEAM team updates.

Wednesday:

• Site visit for intelligence gathering for a Construction Phase Plan (CPP).
• Client compliance day at New Forest Fencing Ltd.

Thursday:

• Health and Safety Awareness training for our partners at MSA.
• Chaired vehicle workshop progress meeting and design team meeting.

Friday:

• Attended the Diversity Impact Programme event at the University of Bath, following our mentoring involvement with the project

Insights Gained:

• Understanding the constraints of operating in high-risk explosive environments and their effects on construction activities.
• Engaging with professionals who understand risk management.
• Reflecting on our own values to identify any unconscious bias and understanding its impact on our behavior.

Looking Ahead:

• • Resting and reflecting on the past week with a bike ride around the Mendip Hills.
  • Preparing for the upcoming week with a renewed focus on inclusive leadership.
