Our commitment to continuous improvement through the Plan-Do-Check-Act model enables us to deliver high-quality projects and proactive client service. This week saw the culmination of a number of milestone achievements that demonstrate the resilience, teamwork, and professionalism of our entire team.
Plan
We started the week with strategic planning and coordination across several key projects:
- Final project meeting at Bury Cross in preparation for formal handover at month-end. Our planning included reviewing and defect scheduling from Phase One (delivered by others), ensuring seamless continuity and excellence in quality by our delivery partner in Phase Two, Birchen Construction.
- Ongoing development of Risk Assessment Method Statements across multiple projects to ensure task and site-specific compliance.
- Continued support to our client in shaping responses for the HCC Framework ITT, with early drafts reviewed and scheduled for collective feedback.
Do
Execution of planned activities saw our team working across the South coast and further afield to deliver on compliance, design, and client engagement:
- Compliance inspections carried out at sites including the Oak Academy, Chichester-based projects, and a heritage site in Berkshire.
- Design collaboration meetings took place for heritage projects including one under Southampton City Council and another under SCC’s guidance.
- Hands-on support to multiple clients ranging from ITT response development to speculative planning meetings, such as potential CDM support at a 300-year-old country manor – an exciting prospect combining heritage and innovation.
- Formal handover and contact completion of a heritage restoration project spanning nearly three years, marking a significant long-term achievement in our consultancy portfolio.
Check
Quality assurance and evaluation remained a priority:
- Site visits across multiple projects affirmed compliance with safety and design standards.
- Inspection outcomes continue to inform our RAMS refinement and operational adjustments.
- Excellent client feedback received this week underscores the value and quality of the LCS team’s service delivery and strengthens our commitment to client satisfaction and improvement.
Act
This week’s momentum will inform our next steps:
- Learnings from the Bury Cross project, particularly resilience in the face of challenges, will be documented and embedded into future project methodologies.
- Insights gained from the HARP Phase 3 briefings and the scope of works across 20 locations will shape our conservation strategies and project support planning into 2026.
- Team energy and morale were boosted by celebrating both internal success and external recognition – notably, Lee’s invitation to the University of Bath Graduation celebrations, a proud moment reflective of the Beyond Boundaries mentorship impact.
