Reflections – Week 44

Reflections, Weekly Round Up

As October 2025 draws to a close, I’ll spare you the Halloween clichés, well, except this one: there are no horror shows at LCS Project Solutions, unless you count Lee’s new blood-red shoes!

On a serious note, while our month did not reveal any “horrors,” it’s certainly been busy for the team.  Special thanks to our co-Principal, Leon Maidment, for leading by example and driving our progress.

Looking back at the week, that really did pass in a flash; we had two whirlwind days on site supporting a fantastic, committed team with their “beyond compliance” goals and attending the regular progress meeting.  That involved an overnight stay, helping everyone work more efficiently.

Elsewhere, our team ran compliance inspections in London (where the old meets the new), as well as closer to home, and provided CDM support to ensure the design and management of ongoing works remains robust.  We tackled project health, safety, and environmental planning, and carried out a remote ISO 14001 client maintenance audit focused on environmental aspects and impact control.  On top of that, we assisted a client in resolving outstanding ISO queries via an online portal we hadn’t used before, but are now up to speed and ready for more.

That’s still not the end of the story!  Production was only part of the picture.  We held three meetings about possible future projects, offering CDM & BSA support for Principal Designers and design teams, and discussed ISO management system development with a valued partner.  Amidst it all, our administrative support network kept everything moving smoothly behind the scenes, thank you!

So, what are our takeaways from this week?

  • Red shoes rock!

  • Production tells only part of the story; it’s often the unspoken conversations that complete the picture.

  • A clear focus can drive real efficiency.

And what’s next week got in store? A quick look ahead:

  1. Meeting a potential new client, including a site tour.

  2. Scoping out a new project with a possible site recce.

  3. Compliance inspections in the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Southampton, and more in the pipeline.

  4. Discussions with a partnering organisation about best supporting their clients’ ISO journey.

  5. More CDM and site support.

Brilliant!  Good planning remains key, but so does the ability to adapt while keeping our focus on client service.

Onwards and upwards!
