Reflections – Week 37

Health & Safety, Reflections, Weekly Round Up

The start of the week for one team member was sat poolside in a hot but somewhat obscured view, caused by a Calima from the Sahara to the south. vGuessed the location yet?

This trip was short and combined business with pleasure.  The business was further development of the Building Safety Act course and exercises, to be led by our team and hosted by MS Associates (Safety) Ltd.  We are all looking forward to rolling out this course.  To register an interest in the one-day course, follow the link Expression of Interest or click on the QR code. 👉

To this week!

Sole leadership duties passed to Leon for the first 2/5ths of the week. Excellent!

The week comprised site compliance inspections across numerous projects, from heritage to schools to conversions, for several different clients with different requirements in balancing legislative needs with the nature and complexities of the projects.

We assisted clients with valuable support in developing their on, and off-site management systems.  This included common lift plans, near-miss reporting, temporary works and a temporary joinery workshop management plan.

We also carried out Part Two of a site-based Procore audit and are looking forward to presenting the findings to our client.  The purpose: to identify possible performance gaps with the aim of continual improvement.

Whilst all of this was marching forwards in the first of the autumn storms, the vital administration of business activities and retained client service continued unaffected

A good week for all we think.

To finish, a personal reflection from the weekend and from the week that has just passed, in the midst of increasing geopolitical tensions:

Next Step

Do not allow the shadow of the past to darken the decisions of today.
Do not allow the noise of the future to distract you from the priorities of today.
For businesses, as for individuals, real progress comes from focusing on the step directly in front of you and valuing the moment.

If repeated with intent, each step builds momentum, resilience, and sustainable growth.
