Reflections – Week 27

Health & Safety, Management Systems, Project Management, Reflections, Training & Mentoring, Weekly Round Up

As we close out another dynamic week at LCS Project Solutions, it is the ideal moment to reflect on our progress and the power of feedback in driving continuous improvement, both for our team and those we serve.

Plan:
We kicked off the week with a focused Face Fit Train the Trainer session, ensuring our clients team remains at the forefront of RPE safety standards.  Our monthly planning session set the stage for a productive July, aligning our goals and resources to meet client needs.

Do:
Tuesday saw us dive into Day 4 of the CITB SMSTS course, furthering our commitment to high-impact training.  Alongside this, project management duties for Bury Cross progressed, with final touches put on electoral layouts.  We also provided SSiP assistance and developed planning for a Safe Systems of Work programme (SSoW) with a client, highlighting the benefits of a retained service approach.

Midweek, we wrapped up SMSTS Day 5, delivered a detailed site inspection report, offered CDM guidance, and updated the H&S File for a prestigious historic building, ensuring compliance and safety remain non-negotiable.

Check:
Thursday was about regrouping: catching up with our virtual assistant Sinead, preparing our mid-month newsletter, and continuing project management and compliance work for Bury Cross.  CDM tracker updates and a HARP site inspection kept our quality assurance on point.

Act:
Friday brought us closer to the finish line at Bury Cross, with a cost update meeting.  We also supported a new local heritage project at Eiling Tide Mill, providing initial CDM PD & PC guidance, and continued developing clients robust SSoW documents.

 Feedback in Action:

The week’s highlight came from Martin Goodman, a delegate on our SMSTS course, who shared:

“It was without doubt the most engaging and enjoyable H&S I’ve ever been on and that was nearly all down to your great presenting style and tutorage. #notwrittenwithAI”

This kind of feedback is a testament to our team’s commitment to delivering training that is not only informative but truly engaging and impactful.
