Building on Foundations, Embracing Change
As we close out another productive week at LCS Project Solutions Ltd, we are reminded that progress is never a straight line, it is a cycle of planning, doing, checking, and acting. This week, our team’s journey brought together fresh starts, historic milestones, and the steady pursuit of excellence.
Monday: Fresh Energy and Focused Administration
We kicked off the week with renewed energy as a team member returned from extended leave in the West Country, bringing fresh perspective and enthusiasm. The day was dedicated to vital client administration, project updates, and providing SSiP assistance, laying the groundwork for a successful week ahead.
Tuesday: Compliance and Continuous Learning
Tuesday took us west of the county for a site compliance inspection, ensuring our client projects meet the highest standards. Meanwhile, Day One of the CITB SMSTS course sparked lively discussion about the current state of construction training and our industry’s future. It is always inspiring to see professionals so engaged in shaping their own development.
Wednesday: Heritage, Safety, and New Directions
Midweek, our inspections brought us closer to home, with a visit to a site steeped in medieval history, a reminder of the legacy our work helps preserve. Day Two of SMSTS saw the group’s enthusiasm grow, with punctual arrivals and active participation. We also began planning a marketing campaign for our behavioural-based safety programmes, targeting managers. Our message is clear: by creating a safe environment, we empower everyone to work safely.
Thursday: New Perspectives and Steady Progress
Day Three of SMSTS introduced a new tutor, offering a fresh industry perspective while reinforcing our commitment to consistent safety standards. Behind the scenes, our team continued with client planning, CDM assistance, and essential administrative functions, demonstrating that variety and consistency go hand in hand.
Friday: Milestones and Looking Forward
Friday was a day of milestones. We completed a final site compliance inspection at a historic country mansion, a three-year project now nearing its grand restoration. Our team meeting focused on the exit strategy for Bury Cross Garage: the roof is finished, the floor slab has cured, and we’re on track for a July completion. Overcoming the challenge of a contractor withdrawal in phase one, our collaborative approach has kept the project moving forward.
The afternoon brought a poignant moment as we conducted our final compliance inspection for Ascia Construction. From our first visit in January 2018 to this week’s last, it’s been a privilege to support Ascia’s growth into a leading regional contractor. As they transition to an internal compliance manager, we look forward to continuing our partnership through ISO system audits. We are proud of the legacy we have helped build. More to follow on this!
Looking Ahead
Week 26 has been a testament to the power of planning, doing, checking, and acting, each step building on the last, driving us forward. As we celebrate achievements and embrace new challenges, we remain committed to delivering excellence for our clients and partners.
Here’s to the next cycle of progress!
