Reflections – Week 22

Health & Safety, Project Management, Reflections, Weekly Round Up

Making Every Day Count

While many enjoyed a four-day week thanks to the bank holiday, for some of us, the work did not stop. Sometimes, duty calls! Here’s our week in a nutshell:

  • Monday – National Holiday?
Not quite for us!  We were busy preparing a fee proposal for an exciting potential partnership in the West Country, watch this space for more news!

  • Tuesday – Hands On and Planning Ahead
We carried out a site compliance inspection at Merton College, followed by project planning for a new client project in Portsmouth Dockyard.  As Employers Agent, we also delivered a progress update visit.  The day ended with a planning supper to finalise June’s programme.

  • Wednesday – Up skilling and Safety First
We provided one-to-one up skilling for a client’s employee, held a CDM workshop, reviewed RAMS, and completed progress reporting.  Phew!

  • Thursday – Across the County
More site compliance inspections across the county, plus a CDM refresher training session for designers.

  • Friday – Full Circle
Even more compliance inspections, from the west of the county to the east.  We also managed a team catch-up to wrap up the week and get ready for the weekend.

  • PDCA in Action
At LCS Project Solutions, we embrace the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle as a cornerstone of continuous improvement.  Each week, we plan our activities and set clear objectives; do the work with focus and professionalism; check our progress and outcomes through regular reviews and inspections; and act on feedback and lessons learned to refine our approach for even better results next time.

On a Sad Note
This week, one of team said goodbye to Sox, their beloved cat who had been part of the family for a generation.  Our thoughts are with you.
