As we close out another week at LCS Project Solutions Ltd, it’s time to reflect on our achievements, challenges, and growth opportunities from Week 19.
Monday:
- Bank holiday: An extended weekend offered a welcome chance to recharge and focus on personal well-being-a vital part of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Tuesday:
- Conducted a site compliance inspection at the historic Woburn Abbey, a project that continues to challenge our team due to its heritage status and the complexity of integrating modern compliance requirements into extensive refurbishment works.
- Participated in a client’s Contracts Managers Teams meeting to present our monthly findings and propose incremental improvements across all projects.
- Completed essential administrative tasks, including BREEAM updates for client projects and resolving outstanding issues within a client’s management system.
Wednesday:
- Continued site compliance tours and produced detailed reports.
- Joined the weekly HARP phase 3 team meeting in our capacity as CDM Principal Designer advisor.
- Advanced planning for a new workshop, focusing on the intersection of the Building Safety Act and CDM Regulations-a complex but rewarding area of compliance.
Thursday:
- Performed additional site compliance inspections, piloting a new reporting software format to improve efficiency and clarity.
- Coordinated with our administration support team to ensure smooth business operations and identify areas for further development.
- Supported a client with project planning for upcoming works.
- Attended a client management system workshop, contributing guidance on integrating compliance requirements.
Friday:
- Attended the first site progress meeting for the Bury Cross Phase 2 redevelopment, recognising the strong performance of all involved.
- Focused on housekeeping tasks to close out loose ends, reinforcing the importance of regular business management reviews.
Throughout the Week:
- Engaged with a diverse range of stakeholders, from clients and contractors to the ever-charming Gertrude the cow.
- Utilised various digital tools, including Fonn and Monday.com, to streamline project management and compliance tracking.
- Observed exemplary compliance measures and craftsmanship on both heritage and new-build projects.
What Did We Learn This Week?
