It has been a slightly quieter week on the ground for the LCS Project Solutions Ltd team, at least in numbers, if not in spirit. One of our own took a well‑earned break, swapping site steel and safety boots for sun, stone and sea breeze. The destination? Malta. 🇲🇹 A rich mix of historic architecture, Mediterranean culture, and a few adventures on two wheels courtesy of some e‑bike exploration. The good news, they have returned suitably refreshed and have already dived back in.
Our Reduced Week
While one of us recharged, the rest of the team kept things moving, maintaining momentum across a busy spread of projects and client visits.
- Theatre refurbishment – A fascinating site visit to a client’s next challenging project, complete with a behind‑the‑scenes tour and a chance to meet their new Contracts Manager. Exciting developments ahead.
- Policy updates – Supporting a client with health and safety policy updates and system refinements, keeping our commitment to continuous improvement.
- School fencing replacement – Excellent conditions on site with teams maintaining strong standards, always great to see good practice in action.
- Management system development – Progressing discussions around system structure and ensuring alignment with how things really work on site.
- CHAS compliance – Ongoing support to keep client documentation sharp, current and audit‑ready.
- Wet and muddy inspections – Valuable insights and coordination achieved, even with the seasonal challenges underfoot.
- Project planning and strategy – Productive catch‑ups focused on next steps in system development and project delivery.
- Isle of Wight College – Another “soaked but smiling” inspection on both sides of the ferry, steady progress despite the weather.
Amid the activity came a few quieter moments too, vital administration, reflection, and even spotting a spectacular London poplar tree standing proud in the drizzle; a small but grounding reminder of why we do what we do.
The week rounded off with an engaging site tour and PD discussion on historic building refurbishment, followed by a Temporary Works CPD session, future partnering collaboration opportunities (and, importantly, lunch!). A productive end combining learning, collaboration and curiosity.
Closing Thought – Recognition and Renewal
Even when the team is one down, collaboration, curiosity and commitment keep us moving forward. This week proved that with the right mindset, and a solid system to lean on, progress continues and lessons keep coming.
Recognition for hard work, a little renewal from time off, and plenty of learning in between. Ace.
