This month began with a planning meeting alongside one of our valued clients, reviewing the past quarter and discussing how LCS Project Solutions can further support their team. It was a positive and productive session, resulting in a newly defined scope, from project planning and site set-up to ongoing maintenance and team workshops. Partnerships like these foster trust, drive continuous improvement, and bring lasting benefits not only to our clients, but to our team as well.
Our schedule also included a series of design team meetings and client coordination sessions across several projects. By contributing legal and safety framework guidance, we help ensure that changes are properly managed and that safety is woven into the design from the outset.
This week, we delivered an SMSTS refresher course hosted by one of our partners, with three client delegates among the cohort. Congratulations to everyone who participated, our dedicated trainer expertly guided the group, and I’m pleased to share that all passed with flying colours.
We carried out a maintenance audit for a client, reaffirming that high standards continue to be met. The audit aligned with Clause 9.0 Performance Evaluation requirements for ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
Supporting our clients’ safety processes remains at the heart of what we do. Over the past week, we have assisted with developing risk assessments and safe systems of work, helping teams to proactively identify and address hazards as their projects evolve. We also supported SSiP maintenance and ensured all vital administrative tasks were handled smoothly, including our monthly newsletters, which share news and insights for our clients’ benefit.
Highlights
A highlight of the month was celebrating the completion and handover of the Bury Cross workshop remodelling project with the client team. It was a fantastic achievement; seeing the A&S team ready to move in and make use of the improved facilities was incredibly rewarding, especially knowing the challenges overcome along the way.
We also had the privilege of celebrating a milestone with another client, 60 years since their family business was founded. It was inspiring to see four generations come together for the occasion, alongside staff, some with over 40 years’ service, and friends of the business. Being invited to share in this celebration and be considered part of their extended team is truly an honour.
So, what have we learned? Above all, our business is about people, connections, and their unique stories. Each day, we become part of their narrative. With that comes a duty to act responsibly, being a trusted partner and friend to their business, offering value and sound advice to help them fulfil their ambitions.
